The Assam girl Rewati Chetri, who had won Miss Popular and Miss Multimedia titles in Femina Miss India 2015, has crowned Miss Asia (Best in Asia Continent) at the World Miss University 2016 pageant in China. She also made it to Top Super Six Finalist through online voting. The 22-year-old student of Guwahati law College, Rewati has also made it into Top 50 of Times Most Desirable Women 2015 along with Top Bollywood actresses like Anushka Sharma and Kangkana Ranaut.

1. The Early Life
Born to ASEB employee Baburam Chetri and Bina in 1993, Rewati Chetri was brought up in Haflong, Assam. She completed her schooling from St Agnes Convent High School in Haflong before completing her graduation in commerce from Lumding College in neighbouring Nagaon district. Rewati is a student of NEF Law College, Guwahati.
2. How did Modelling Happened to Her.
From the time she was studying, modelling was always in her mind and she was waiting for an opportunity to grab. Tt all started in mid November 2014 when she first attended the auditions and got selected for former Miss India and Bollywood actor Neha Dupia’s show. That is the time when she actually stepped into the glamour industry.
3. Rewati Chetri’s Personal Style
In an interview with eastern mirror Nagaland she was asked about her personal style and she replied “Dress as you Desire, You look Best when you Feel Best”.
4. Defining Modelling as Career Option
The fashion industry of India is big enough and according to her there are more opportunities for men and women to be models. “It is not as easy as it looks and requires a large amount of sacrifice and commitment. For those who are really committed and determined yes it is a wonderful career option” she mentioned in an interview.

Her debut performance in the music video “Tumi Mur” was released last year. Under the banner of Dream House Production the song was sung by Suresh Shama and music composed by Bulbul and Rosty. This video has been directed by Deepak Dey.
