Renown bollywood Sound Engineer Amrit Pritam Dutta made us proud again. This time he has been selected as a member of Oscar governing body. Born in Jorhat, Mr. Dutta has worked on numbers of films as a sound designer. Some of his recent works are PK, Kaabil,Kick, Highway, Jazbaa, Court, Beautiful Lives, Duronir Nirola Poja etc.
Indian cinema’s top-drawer actors, directors and writers are among the global celebrities have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which organises the annual Oscar awards.

Earlier, Amrit Pritam along with Resul Pookutty won the Best Sound Editing: Sound Effects, Foley, Dialogue and ADR in the Foreign Feature Film category in the 63rd Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards for “Roar:Tigers of the Sunderbans”. Amrit Pritam also won the award for the critically acclaimed movie India’s Daughter. He has worked with Resul Pookutty on a number of films like Slumdog Millionaire, Ghajini, Saawariya, Ra.One etc. He had also won a national award for his work in the Malayalam film Keralavarma Pazhassiraja.
