Of course, before anything else, make sure to have a fast and stable internet connection, whether you have fiber or satellite internet. This way, you can enjoy these films without any interruptions. So, without further ado, let’s dive in!
Heart of Stone
Heart of Stone is one of the most trending movies right now. Starring Gal Gadot, this film is about an intelligence operative who’s a member of a powerful global peacekeeping organization that possesses the smartest, most accurate technology that could prevent many disastrous happenings around the world called the Heart.
Rachel Stone, played by Gal Gadot, was undercover as a tech agent of MI6. Her image was portrayed to be a baby agent with no field experience. Little did they know that she was working for the Charter – an organization filled with international spies to protect the peace in the world.
Throughout the series, Stone will experience the complexities of trust, betrayal, and the blurred lines between loyalty and duty. Even though it’s a relatively new movie, it’s really a good watch. Unfortunately, it’s only exclusive on Netflix right now. Hopefully, it will be more available on other streaming platforms like Dish TV in the future.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Guardians of the Galaxy franchise is one of the most popular Marvel movies out there. But I can’t blame the viewers, as these films effortlessly combine humor, love, and high-stakes action that are perfect for viewers of any age.
**Spoiler alert if you haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity War yet**
Peter Quill, still mourning the loss of Gamora, embarked on a new mission to defend one of their family and the universe itself. However, this mission is totally different from their past, as it could end all the Guardians if they lose. With this life-and-death mission, will they be able to save the universe one more time? They will need more than wit, charm, and strength to do so.
Oppenheimer
Directed by the great Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer is a biographical thriller based on American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J. The star-studded cast includes Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, and many more.
With Cillian Murphy as the lead character, the movie revolves around the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the brain and the physicist behind the atomic bomb during WWII. Nolan’s signature non-linear storytelling showcases Oppenheimer’s genius, struggles, and moral dilemmas as he leads the Manhattan Project.
Barbie
Barbie will take you on a colorful journey into Barbie Land, a world defined by perfection. However, the plot takes an interesting turn when Barbie, who usually embodies perfection, starts exhibiting human-like qualities. Of course, she wanted to regain her flawless nature no matter what it took. That’s why she decided to go to the Real World. She wanted to seek a cure for her so-called imperfections.
This interesting plot really shows relatable human struggles. In fact, the movie surprises audiences with its heartwarming moments and meaningful messages. Beyond the enchanting visuals of Barbie Land, the film explores the idea of embracing one’s unique qualities and imperfections in a world that often celebrates superficial ideals.
This film is not yet widely available on most streaming platforms, but you can check with your streaming service, for example, Sling TV, if they currently have it for rent.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
This film will take you on an exciting ride through different dimensions, bringing together beloved characters like Spider-Woman (Gwen Stacy) and Miles Morales (Spider-Man). Gwen is dealing with the challenges of being both a superhero and a regular person, and things get even more intense when an ancient bad guy, the Spot, suddenly shows up.
With the help of Spider-Man 2099 Miguel O’Hara, Gwen teams up with other heroes who have spider powers to stop the Spot from causing chaos across dimensions. This story is packed with action as their crew demonstrates incredible strength in the face of tough times as they navigate through tough choices and come to terms with their shared path.
The Bottom Line
These films will not let you down if you’re looking for an exciting and entertaining movie marathon this weekend. Moreover, most of these films provide valuable life lessons that you and your kids can learn from. So, make sure to give this list a try, and let us know what you think. Happy streaming!
