Assam Employment Exchange Registration 2024
The Assam Government has launched the Assam Employment Exchange Registration to facilitate job opportunities in both government departments and private companies. If you are aged 14 years or older, you can register with the Employment Exchange. The entire registration process is now fully online, and manual registration has been discontinued since 2021.
Registration Methods
Assam Employment Exchange Registration can be done in two ways: Aadhaar-based and non-Aadhaar-based. It is recommended to choose the Aadhaar-based registration as it is completely digital and does not require any office visit.
Guidelines for Assam Employment Exchange Registration
- Registration with the Employment Exchange in Assam is mandatory.
- An expiry date will be provided on the Assam Employment Exchange Card. Candidates must renew their registration within 60 days of the expiry date.
- Re-registration is necessary to qualify for government jobs in Assam.
- Registration can be Aadhaar-based or non-Aadhaar-based. Non-Aadhaar registration requires manual document verification.
- After physical verification of documents, an Employment Exchange Card will be issued via email.
- No requests for registration renewal will be entertained after the expiry of the due month and grace period.

Eligibility Criteria
- All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible to register.

Registration Process
Online Registration
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the Sewa Setu Portal.
- Sign In: Log in to the Sewa Setu Portal as a citizen.
- Select Service: Click on the “Service” button on the homepage.
- Choose Employment Exchange Registration: Select it from the list of services.
- Fill the Application Form: Provide your personal details such as name, father’s name, and date of birth.
- Add Address and Qualifications: Fill in your address and qualification details.
- Upload Documents: Upload the required documents.
- Verify Aadhaar: Verify your Aadhaar card with an OTP sent to your mobile number.
- Submit: Click the submit button after completing the form.
- Receive Employment Exchange Card: After verification, you will receive your Employment Exchange Card via email or you can download it from the portal.
Re-Registration Process
- Login to the Portal: Access the Sewa Setu Portal.
- Search for Employment Exchange: In the service section, find “Employment Exchange.”
- Select Re-Registration: Choose “Employment Exchange Re-Registration” from the list.
- Enter Aadhaar Details: Provide your Aadhaar card details and verify with the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
- Update Details: Update your qualification details and mobile number from the paper-based registration card.
- Submit: Click the submit button to complete the re-registration process.
