Chief Minister of Assam Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Arunodoi Asoni Scheme as part of the state’s poverty alleviation program. Under this scheme, every eligible woman in the state will receive Rs. 1,250 directly to her bank account on the 10th of every month. Financial assistance is provided to economically backward households in Assam through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). A total of 27 lakh households will be covered at the rate of 20,000 households per Legislative Assembly Constituency.
Two government schemes, Deen Dayal Divyangjan Achoni and Indira Miri Sarbojanin Biswa Pension Achoni, have been merged into the Orunodoi Scheme, making it the largest DBT scheme in the state of Assam.

Benefits of the Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme
Arunodoi Asoni will benefit about 27.77 lakh eligible households in the state. Each beneficiary will receive Rs. 1,250 per month on the 10th of every month through Direct Benefit Transfer. The breakdown of the assistance is as follows:
