The “Ladki Bahin Yojana” is set to be officially launched in Maharashtra tomorrow. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde recently announced that trial payments have already been made under the scheme, stating, “We have fulfilled our commitment. We promised to transfer Rs 3,000 (for two months) to women beneficiaries whose bank details have been verified.” This initiative aims to provide direct financial assistance of Rs 1,500 per month to over one crore women across the state.

Eligibility Criteria for the Mazi Ladki Bahin Scheme:
- Only women residents of Maharashtra are eligible to apply.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra.
- Eligible women must be between 21 and 65 years of age.
- Married, unmarried, abandoned, divorced, and destitute women are all eligible.
- Applicants must have a bank account in their name.
- The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.

Women who are unable to apply online can seek assistance from Anganwadi Sevaks, Supervisors, Chief Sevaks, Setu Suvidha Kendra, Gram Sevaks, Group Resource Persons (CRP), ASHA Sevaks, Ward Officers, CMMs (City Mission Managers), Mnpa Balwadi Sevaks, Help Room Heads, or Your Sarkar Seva Kendra. Both online and offline application facilities are available at these centers, and there is no fee for submitting an application. It is important to ensure that the applicant’s name, date of birth, and address are accurately filled out as per the Aadhaar card.
