Recently, popular actor Jatin Bora announced the name of his next big-budget film in the Jyoti Chitraban studio after the superhit Assamese film ‘Ratnakar’, which propelled the Assamese film industry towards commercial prosperity. His second film, produced under the banner of JB Productions, is titled ‘Raghav’. Renowned Assamese film artistes Vidya Rao, Malaya Goswami and Pranjal Saikia formally launched ‘Raghav’s poster at the event hosted by popular actor Kapil Bora.
On the other hand, famous film distributor and Assamese film producer Shankar Lal Goenka garlanded and switched on the camera, Jyoti Chitraban Chairman Vidyasagar broke the auspicious coconut and veteran actress Seema Biswas gave away the mahurat clap. On the occasion, a number of cultural journalists from Assam were felicitated on behalf of the production team at the same function attended by many dignitaries from cultural, social, media and other fields of Assam.
Produced by Jatin Bora and Navanita Sharma Bora, the film will be directed by Jatin Bora. The film’s chief assistant director is Arindam Kashyap. The assistant directors are Anindita Kalita, Bhargav Adhyapak, Surajit Phukan and Abhijit Chutia. The music will be scored by popular artiste Zubeen Garg. The lyrics to the songs are composed by Zubeen Garg, Diganta Kalita and Rahul Gautam Sarma.
The sound will be designed by Debajit Changmai and Amrit Pritam. The film will be cinematographed by Pradip Daimary in the locations of Guwahati, Jorhat, Meghalaya, Hyderabad’s famous Ramoji Rao Film City and the scenic locations of Kashmir. The editing will be executed by Pritam Khaund. DI colourist is Rajesh Yadav. The action director is Rajesh Kannan. The art direction is by Jyotishankar Bhattacharya. Production controller is Manoj Mishra. Costumes are to be designed by Navanita Sharma Bora.
On the other hand, based on the story of a young man who wrote a new chapter while struggling with his life, fighting with grief, hardship and misfortune, the film will be filled with the immense content of love, sorrow, hate, romance and action.
The leading role will be portrayed by Jatin Bora and eminent actress Mridula Baruah will also appear in a prominent role. Various other roles will be played by Hiranya Deka, Nishita Goswami, Siddhartha, Nipon Goswami, newcomer Sumi Bora, Bibhuti Bhusan Hazarika, Chinmoy Kotoky, Rajiv Rajnish, Jyotishmaan Kashyap, Pabitra Barua, Bibhas Sinha, Dr Chinmoy Chakravarty, Dr Jayanta Das, child artistes Priyank Jyoti Kalita, Manish Bhuyan and Ashish Goswami. ‘Raghav’s story, screenplay and dialogues has been penned by Abhijit Bhattacharya.
