Paris Olympics Qualification
Nisha Dahiya became the fifth Indian woman wrestler to qualify for the Paris Olympics by defeating Romania’s Alexandra Anghel in the 68kg semifinals at the World Olympic Qualifiers in May. Nisha secured her Olympic spot by beating Anghel 8-4, ensuring the participation of five women wrestlers from India at the Olympics.
In her journey to qualification, Nisha also defeated individual neutral athlete Alina Shauchuk 3-0 in the round of 16 and overcame Adela Hanzlickova of Czechia 7-4 in the semi-finals.
