Assam’s established volunteer organization ‘Naba Prabhat’ in association with ‘Nava Prabhat Institute of Fashion Technology’ (NPIFT) organised a Mega Fashion Show at Srimanta Sankardev International Auditorium, Guwahati, recently.
The ‘All Assam Traditional Mega Fashion Show 2022-23’ aimed at providing a platform and empowerment to women, along with a category of competition dedicated to kids.
The show encouraged the emerging new generation as well as the public of Assam to wear local and indigenous clothing through the fashion world. An unusual beauty competition was held across the Miss, Mrs and Kids category, where competitors from different districts of Assam as well as many states of the North East participated to showcase their beauty and talent.
In the Miss category, Jutima Baruah from Noonmati, Guwahati, emerged as the winner.
Sikhamoni Borkotoky from Dwarakanagar, Guwahati was crowned as the winner in the Mrs. Category.
Ayanabh Mahanta, a class 4 student of Delhi Public School, Khanapara, bagged the winner’s award in the Kids Category
The show has been a grand success with Praveen Baisha as the chief organiser.
