7 Best Nail Colors That Will Make You Look Tanned

If you want to look like a model, the best nail polish colour for the skin tones you’re trying to achieve is probably a darker, almost brown. The other colours tend to make you look unnatural.

So if you’ve ever wondered what nail polish makes you look tan, here’s how you can get the best tan without the spray tan!

Spring nail colors that will bring out the hue of your tan

Springtime means one thing for girls: bathing suits. But if you don’t have the right skin toning products, your skin might look too white and pasty. So how can you revive your skin’s natural tone?

While glowing skin is essential for summer dressing, did you know that the colour of your nails can also contribute to a sun-kissed appearance? These nail polishes will help you make a statement, just like the beautiful tan you’re trying to get from the sun this summer.

  • Brights: When you’re going for a tanned look you should wear a bold shade like vibrant yellow, juicy orange, or hot pink.
  • Pastels: A pale skin shade looks stunning against a darker skin tone. This is great for people with dark complexions because it helps create a dramatic and even tan. In particular, this will be a boon for fair-skinned women greatly.
  • Gray Dove: Bordeaux Burgundy Burgundy has a deep, robust color that’s bold and rich and a perfect match for a bold red lip. It adds drama to an outfit but still gives the wearer a soft and airy look. Try it on everything, from dark denim to pastels and everything in between.
  • Cornflower Color:  The colors of cornflowers are red, yellow, blue and orange. Color theory says that blue and orange are complementary, so wearing blue will make you appear tanner.

7 Nail Polishes That’ll Make You Look Tanner

Have you ever felt that way standing in front of the polish wall in the nail salon? Thousands of bottles of rainbow-colored options staring back at you?

When picking out your new favorite shade, there’s really no wrong way to go. Whatever color you choose, just make sure it’s flattering on your skin tone and works well with your hair and makeup.

There are so, so, so many different choices when it comes to the best way to achieve a flawless, natural glow on the tanning bed. You should take into consideration how long you’ll be using the tanning bed, the size of your face and the type of tan you want to get.

There are two totally different ways you can go with your polish palette: You can either opt for a light, pastel option that will contrast with your skin tone, or a bright, neon one that will complement it.

Stay away from dark colours and greys, especially when it comes to your skin tone. These colours won’t make your complexion any whiter, but if you want to achieve a tan look, add some red or orange-based polish to the mix.

There are nine different nail polishes that make you look extra tan. Don’t forget to paint the toes.

1. Pale Pink – ZOYA Nail Polish

Zoya’s Naked Manicure System is one of the most popular nail polish brands out there, and the products are some of the best you can find in the beauty market.

The Pink Perfector is part of the system and is a sheer, beautiful shade of pink. It’s very pigmented and looks gorgeous on its own or can be layered over darker shades.

The ingredients include water, glycerin, butylene glycol, tocopherol, and vitamin E. It also contains niacinamide and panthenol.

The application is easy and takes less than 2 minutes. You can apply with a brush, finger, or even a credit card.

Once applied, you can easily remove it with acetone, which is the best remover for nail polish.

Overall, I think that the Pink Perfector is a great choice for anyone who loves pink nail polishes. It’s affordable and easy to apply, and it works well on its own or with other colors.

2. Opaque White – Nonie Creme Colour Prevails Nail Lacquer

This is a staple in my nail polish collection, and I’ve gone through many bottles over the years.

Nonie Creme Colour Prevails Nail Lacquer is a matte, beige-based, long-wear nail polish with a slightly shimmery finish.

It’s not my favorite color, but it’s great for the summertime because it doesn’t get streaky or chip easily. It dries fast, and has a nice shine to it, making it easy to apply.

It’s also easy to remove, and won’t leave any residue behind.

This is a great everyday nail polish and it’s available in six shades.

3. Bright Blue – essie Nail Polish

This Essie polish is very shiny and gives off a professional look. It also has a high-gloss finish, which is ideal for manicures.

There are four different colours available: Black, Nude, Hot Pink and Rose Gold. I chose Nude and Black. They have a nice range of colours, so you should be able to find something that matches your skin tone.

They do say that this is for glossy nails, so I wouldn’t recommend using them on natural nails.

It takes 2-3 coats for the colour to really show up. I used 3 coats of each colour, and my nails look great.

I found the brush to be average. It’s not too big or small, but it is slightly longer than the Essie standard brush.

I think the Essie polish formula is pretty good. I’ve had no problems with it, and it washes off easily.

If you’re looking for good nail polish to make you look tanner, this is a great option.

4. Pastel Purple- OPI Nature Strong Nail Polish

This is a lovely, creamy lilac shade that’s packed with antioxidants and essential oils. It has a nice, smooth texture, and it glides on easily with a nice, glossy shine.

It’s also fairly fast drying and doesn’t chip off easily, so you won’t have to worry about chipping and having to re-paint your nails.

OPI is one of the best nail polish brands, so you know that the color quality will be great. If you’re into lilacs and want to make your nails look a bit springier, then this is the one for you.

It’s vegan and it’s 9-free, so it’s safe for everyone.

5. Coral – essie Glossy Shine Coral Nail Polish

I think this is a really nice, vibrant color that looks great on my natural nails. I love the way it looks but it doesn’t last very long on my nails. If you’re looking for a color that will last longer on your nails, I would suggest going for a brighter one like “Fuchsia Fizz”.

The formula of this nail polish is really good, I find that it covers all of the imperfections on my nails pretty well. However, I do find that it gets streaky and runs a bit when I try to apply it.

Essie nail polishes are a little pricy but they’re worth it if you’re a fan of the brand and have tried their other nail polishes.

6. Sunshine Yellow – OPI Yellow Nail Polish

I’ve had my eye on this color for a while, and it’s finally time to pull the trigger. I had heard mixed reviews about how the formula of this polish changes over time, but I’m pleased to report that this isn’t the case.

This is one of the few nail polishes that I’ve found that actually apply smoothly. The formula is relatively easy to work with, and I didn’t have any problems with it streaking. It dried fairly fast, but did take a little extra time to dry completely.

I’ve worn it for a few days now, and it’s still holding up really well. It doesn’t chip at all, and I’ve noticed no fading. I haven’t noticed any streaking either, which is a huge plus.

Overall, this is a really nice yellow. It’s bright and sunny and goes with a variety of looks. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a bright, fun color for their nails.

7. Hot Pink – Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish

I love this glitter nail polish! It goes on easily, and you can really tell the difference in the way it looks on the nail.

It’s not thick and chunky, which is good, because I’m not a fan of thick nail polish. It’s more like a gel-like consistency, which means it’s more likely to smudge. It dries fast too and doesn’t need top coats.

There are tons of colors to choose from, and you can find them all on Amazon. I think it’s a great option for nail art because it’s so easy to apply and takes a couple of minutes to dry.

It’s easy to remove too, and I found that it didn’t leave any residue behind.

I’m so excited to show off these sparkly nails!
